As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for these individuals through various activities and assistance. Responsibilities for the Direct Support Professional DSP: Assist individuals with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines. Support individuals in their educational or vocational activities. Accompany individuals to medical appointments and provide transportation if needed. Assist with meal planning and preparation. Provide emotional support and companionship. Requirements for the Direct Support Professional DSP: High school diploma or equivalent.
