Description

• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
• Assisting Dentist in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
• Assisting Dentist with procedures
• Recording treatment information in patient records.
• Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
• Communicate information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs to patients and parents.
• Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Caring for/Maintaining dental equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must enjoy working with children
• At least 1 year of pediatric dental assisting experience is preferred
• PMS (Dox) expereince preferred
• Self-motivated, organized, and have a positive, can-do attitude
• Possess good understanding of dental terminology
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Experienced in delivering high-level customer service
• HIgh attention to detail
• Committed to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed
