The Opportunity:

Join CACI as the prime contractor on a growing program supporting NAVSEA 03D3 Digital Program Office as a Database Administrator supporting the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES), a mission-critical program that supports over 45,000 users executing naval ship and submarine maintenance operations worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Support database administration tasks for computerized databases

  • Assist in installing databases onto appropriate computer operating systems

  • Help create databases and configure them for data warehousing applications

  • Support the creation of database objects including Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, and Views

  • Assist with management of Rollback Segments and Data File Size

  • Write basic code for update queries

  • Update data dictionaries as new fields are added to databases

  • Maintain data correction logs with proper documentation

  • Support database performance monitoring activities

  • Assist with backup and recovery operations

  • Document database procedures and configurations

  • Work under general supervision to support database operations

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • 0 to 5 years of experience in database administration

  • Basic knowledge of database concepts and procedures

  • Understanding of SQL fundamentals

  • Knowledge of database backup and recovery principles

Desired:

  • Experience with DoD/Navy systems

  • Entry-level database certifications

  • Knowledge of database performance basics

  • Understanding of data security principles

  • Basic scripting abilities

  • Familiarity with database documentation practices

  • Experience with database monitoring tools

The proposed salary range for this position is:
