As a Data Science Intern, you’ll work closely with teams across the company to help solve business issues using technical and communication skills.
About The Role - Work closely with various teams across the company to identify and solve business challenges
- Develop predictive statistical, behavioral or other models via supervised and unsupervised machine learning
- Conduct statistical analysis and/or build predictive models
- Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources
- Analyze and interpret the results of modeling experiments
- Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to develop and support our internal data platform for ongoing analyses
About You Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree or Ph.D. in technical fields such as data science, applied mathematics, statistics or computer science
- Experience of statistical methods generally and particularly in the areas of modeling and business analytics
- Comfort with manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
- Ability to communicate results of analysis in a clear, precise and actionable manner
- Proficient knowledge of Python or R
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
Preferred Qualifications - Expert knowledge of Python
- Demonstrated work with Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc.)
