Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a Crane Operator .2nd Shift 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM
$18.00 - $23.00/hr depending on experience

Overview:

Responsible for performing all functions necessary to produce precast concrete products efficiently and safely under supervision. Work in a team environment to accomplish the required tasks.

Essential Functions:

• Perform daily pre-operation inspection of over-head crane and associated rigging in compliance with the company policies
• Transfer material utilizing overhead crane as needed to meet production objectives
• Assist with change overs
• Perform daily housekeeping duties including storage of tools maintaining work area sweeping and digging waste mortar from pit (able to lift 75lbs repetitively)
• Perform daily weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to equipment such as lubrication and cleaning
• Other duties may be assigned based on company needs.

Required Education and experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum 2 years of work-related experience and/or training in skilled trades.
• Must have experience working on heavy duty cranes (10-50 ton cranes)
• Familiarity using tools and equipment associated with precast production
• Current Certified Crane Operator or the ability to be certified as a crane operator.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 40 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m – 4:30 p.m. OT will be required as needed. This position regularly requires weekend work.
