Copy Editor – Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday (No weekends)
Pay: $19/hour starting pay with raise & bonus potential upon conversion
We are seeking a detail-oriented Copy Editor to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of editing or professional writing experience and a strong command of grammar, style, and formatting standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Review, edit, and proofread reports, correspondence, and other written materials for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency
Ensure documents adhere to company standards, style guides, and compliance requirements
Communicate with team members and stakeholders to clarify content and resolve discrepancies
Work within deadlines to deliver high-quality, polished materials
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with advanced grammar and editing abilities
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years of professional editing, proofreading, or writing experience
Physical Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Visual acuity sufficient to review printed and digital content
