Shaw Construction is a family-owned design/build commercial general contractor based in Eden Prairie, MN. We have projects across the region in a variety of industries. Key Ingredients

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a Construction Project Manager/Estimator; GC experience preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
• Embodiment of the Shaw Construction values: integrity, service, teamwork, communication, and innovation.
• Competence in Word, Excel, MS Project, & Bluebeam; AutoCAD and Procore or similar a plus
• Organized self-starter with strong initiative and work ethic
• Analytical mind that enjoys problem-solving

Expectations

Project Development

• Assist in business development and client presentations.
• Assemble costs, prepare proposals, and other tasks associated with project development.
• Act as a customer liaison to coordinate with subcontractors, municipality and governing authorities, and others.

Total Project Management

• Manage financial aspects of the project, including cost dissection, margin projections, and subcontract bids, awards, and invoices.
• Communication with the owner, including responding to change order requests, invoicing, and coordinating finish selections.
• Procure permits and otherwise coordinate with municipalities.
• Manage design disciplines, project schedule, and shop drawing review and approval.
• Provide a strong close-out process, including punch list completion, and start to turn over occupancy.

Special Projects as Assigned

• Modify/update General Design Build specifications.
• Other projects based on need and interest.
