Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Location: Tampa, FL

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with 5+ years of experience in a law firm environment to support our attorneys in complex commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in closing CRE deals, UCC filings, title and survey review, and lease analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Manage and coordinate closings , including preparing and organizing closing checklists, drafting closing documents, and handling post-closing matters.
  • Review and analyze title commitments, title policies, and surveys , identifying potential issues and coordinating with title companies and surveyors for resolution.
  • Prepare and file UCC financing statements and related documentation.
  • Conduct lease reviews and prepare lease abstracts to summarize key terms and obligations.
  • Draft, review, and revise various real estate documents, including purchase agreements, loan documents, and closing statements.
  • Prepare closing binders and ensure all necessary documents are compiled and distributed post-closing.
  • Conduct due diligence, including entity formation and corporate governance documentation review.
  • Maintain accurate and organized transaction files, checklists, and calendars.
  • Work closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, and title companies to ensure smooth and timely transaction execution.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm setting is required.
  • Extensive experience closing commercial real estate transactions and handling post-closing matters.
  • Strong title and survey review skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency in UCC filings and corporate entity documentation.
  • Experience in lease review and preparing lease abstracts .
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent education.
  • Experience with real estate document management platforms and closing software.
