About the Job:

Clinical Nurse Specialist (Critical Care OR LTC)

We are seeking two dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our healthcare team in Baltimore, MD. These roles, one focused on Long Term Care (LTC) and the other on Critical Care, are instrumental in enhancing patient outcomes, providing expert clinical guidance, and improving procedural policies. The successful candidates will serve as a beacon of knowledge and an advocate for evidence-based practices while guiding both patients and staff through complex medical environments. Compensation: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year plus Bonus, Signing Bonus, and Paid Relocation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to improve patient care quality and safety within the critical care or long-term care setting.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and standards to foster better health outcomes.
  • Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to plan, evaluate, and implement patient care strategies.
  • Conduct research to stay current with medical advancements and propose operational changes when necessary.
  • Provide expert consultation and education to nursing staff to enhance professional development and improve patient care techniques.
  • Develop and review policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
  • Mentor and supervise junior nurses and healthcare staff to cultivate expertise and ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and solve complex patient care issues.
  • Handle patient consultations and assessments to ensure appropriate care plans are designed and implemented.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree required.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of three years experience in a specialized area relevant to the role (Critical Care or Long Term Care).
  • At least five years of RN experience in an inpatient setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong commitment to patient safety and quality of healthcare.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) is an advantage.
  • Additional certifications pertinent to Critical Care or Long Term Care nursing.
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of initiating change and innovation within a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare informatics and technology.
