Chief Information Security Officer

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Office of Technology invites applications for the position of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) provides security advising, risk management, the establishment of data and information security policy, and guidance for the university to maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for information security. The CISO works to establish and maintain a culture of shared responsibility that encourages the community to embrace best practices for information security. The CISO serves as a member of the President’s Staff as well as the Technology Advisory Committee and Information Technology and Computing Policies Committee.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT/IS-related field or business administration
Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management and/or information security

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree or higher in an IT/IS-related field or business administration
7 years of experience in risk management and/or information security

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity
