A premier national law firm is seeking experienced employment attorneys for a Counsel - Charges role. This position is part of an innovative legal service platform that combines technology, data, and streamlined workflows to manage high-volume employment matters efficiently. Ideal candidates will have strong litigation instincts, excellent writing skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality legal work in a flexible, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Defend Administrative Charges : Manage employment-related administrative agency charges (e.g., EEOC, state agencies) and attorney demand letters from intake through resolution.
• Draft Position Statements : Prepare clear, persuasive, and legally sound responses to agency charges.
• Respond to Agency Requests : Handle requests for information and documentation from administrative bodies.
• Client Communication : Maintain regular contact with clients to discuss case strategy, provide updates, and deliver outcomes.
• Settlement and Mediation : Represent clients in remote mediations and settlement negotiations.

Qualifications

• Experience : Minimum of 6 years practicing employment law, with a focus on management-side representation.
• Skills : Exceptional legal writing, time management, and organizational skills.
• Licensure : Active bar license in the state of residence.
• Work Style : Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

Work Environment

• Non-Shareholder Track : This is not a partnership-track role, offering reduced billable hour requirements (1500) and greater flexibility.
• No Business Development : Attorneys are not expected to generate business or travel.
