Join Our Team as a CDL-A Dedicated Local Truck Driver!

If you are seeking a stable and rewarding truck driving opportunity, this Dedicated Local Driver position might be the perfect fit for you. What You Will Earn:

• Starting Pay: $31/hour
• Average Weekly Pay: $1,550 (approximately $80,600 annually)
• Work Hours: 50-60 hours a week, with a maximum of 10 hours a day
• Home Time: Home daily to enjoy time with your family

Your Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: Start at 4:30 a.m. and finish by 3 p.m. (schedule may vary slightly based on customer requirements)
• Every Other Saturday: Work from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (ending time subject to customer demands)
• Flexibility: Be prepared for occasional scheduling changes due to port requests or rotating schedules.

Your Responsibilities:

• Pre-Start Routine: Arrive 30 minutes before the port gate opens.
• Container Pick Up: Collect containers from 3 port locations.
• Delivery: Drop off containers at 2 local rail yards.
• Round Trips: Complete round trips of approximately 25.6 miles.
• Average Operations: Expect to handle around 8 containers, including both full and empty.

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) necessary.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements must be acquired within 90 days of hiring (reimbursement provided).
• Ability to adapt to flexible schedules based on customer demands.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid Class A CDL and TWIC required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements must be obtained within 90 days of starting (reimbursement is available).
• No reckless driving convictions in the past 5 years.
• No DUI convictions within the past 5 years.
• No suspensions or revocations in the last 5 years.
• No serious violations in the past 12 months (e.g., speeding 15 mph or more over the limit, following too closely, improper passing, etc.).
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years.

Essential Functions Include:

• Opening/Closing Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
• Counting Freight
• Completing Fuel Tickets
• Obtaining Sales Leads
• Hooking/Unhooking Trailers - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A only)
• Performing Pre-Trip Inspections
• Driving
• Maintaining Regular Attendance
• Entering/Exiting a Commercial Motor Vehicle
• Entering/Exiting the Rear of a Trailer from Ground Level
