Essential Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, transport, and offload CarMax vehicles using a company-assigned car hauler.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of vehicles to enhance inventory movement and customer satisfaction.
• Operate equipment with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and cleanliness, ensuring a well-maintained truck and trailer.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your equipment following DOT and CarMax standards.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs and documentation.
• Represent CarMax professionally with vendors, store associates, and the general public.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid state-issued Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
• 2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience is needed. Military driving experience (Heavy/Medium Tactical Vehicle) will also be considered.
• If you are currently a CarMax Associate, you may apply with 2+ years of Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driving experience at CarMax, provided you meet additional criteria.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations in the last three years.
• Ability to meet DOT and FMCSA qualification standards.
• Physical capability to lift heavy objects and winch vehicles during the loading process.
• Proficiency in operating a 10-speed transmission.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills are essential.
