The Catering and Convention Services Manager plays a pivotal role in creating unforgettable experiences through the meticulous planning and execution of Aulani’s catered events. This position demands a commitment to excellence in event management and prioritizes exceptional guest service when engaging with clients both inside and outside the organization. The ideal candidate will possess superb event planning skills, excel at multitasking, and easily navigate meaningful situations. With the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this role is critical for delivering outstanding guest satisfaction and unforgettable events.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Banquets and Events Services, and it will be based onsite at our stunning Aulani Resort on Oahu, Hawaii.

What you will do:

• Serve as the direct liaison between clients and the Aulani Resort Operations Staff.
• Effectively manage all groups, meetings, and catered events handed over by Resort Sales, from the planning phase to execution.
• Conduct site inspections, planning sessions, menu tastings, pre-convention meetings, and operations meetings to ensure flawless event execution.
• Collect deposits and full prepayment for events or obtain vital credit approvals.
• Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and resumes.
• Efficiently manage and respond to emails, phone calls, and client requests.
• Hold accountability for individual and/or team food and beverage goals.
• Ensure that venues are set up according to client specifications.
• Oversee Coordinate all post-event duties, including sending thank-you notes, conducting post-event conversations, and reviewing final bills.

Here’s what you will need to be successful in the job:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Catering and Convention Services leadership role
• Proficient in various computer applications
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities with strong multitasking skills
• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of Disney policies and procedures
• CMP Certification
• Sales Experience

The hiring range for this position in Hawaii is $71,000 - $95,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
