Our company is a leading force in the manufacturing industry, and we are looking to hire a dynamic, dedicated, and innovative Permanent Business Development Manager. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving our business growth. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the manufacturing industry and have a proven track record of success in business development. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives and increase market share.
2. Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization, and establish relationships with them.
3. Research and build relationships with new clients and maintain existing client relationships.
4. Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders.
5. Plan persuasive approaches and pitches to convince potential clients to do business with the company.
6. Work with team to develop proposals that address the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
7. Participate in pricing the solution/service.
8. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
9. Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
10. Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
11. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven track record of identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic partnerships.
3. Excellent relationship-building skills with a knack for building strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
4. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to persuade potential clients and close deals.
5. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey the company's products and services to potential clients.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and other business development tools.
7. Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently, with minimal supervision.
8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome business development challenges and obstacles.
10. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
