Job Summary: Retail Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper Assistant and will include purchasing responsibilities to oversee procurement activities, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure the timely acquisition of quality goods and services at competitive prices. This is not a remote job. Must be on site M-F, 8-5. No night or weekend work.

Detail-oriented approach is crucial for ensuring accuracy in purchase orders and records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use QuickBooks to assist Bookkeeper with daily invoicing, payables and A/R.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to establish productive, professional relationships.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Prepare purchase orders, customer invoices ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast future needs.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about pricing, new products, and industry trends.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department for budget adherence and invoice processing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to procurement.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field experience.
  • Proven experience.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. and QuickBooks.
  • Ability to analyze market data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
