Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our automotive collision repair shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for the automotive industry. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate shop activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring availability for all repair jobs. Train and mentor staff on proper use of power tools, hand tools, and equipment related to auto body repair, painting, glass installation, and restoration. Oversee quality control of all repairs and services performed in the shop. Maintain a clean and organized work environment that promotes safety and efficiency. Assist technicians with complex repairs as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge in auto body repair and restoration. Communicate effectively with customers regarding service options, timelines, and recommendations. Qualifications A minimum of 2 years of body shop management experience. Proven experience in an automotive repair environment with a solid understanding of auto body and collision repair techniques. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Experience in auto painting and auto glass installation is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team toward achieving shop goals. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Previous experience in auto restoration is a plus but not required.
