Overview Biometric (Fingerprinting) Technician - On Call role at Amentum. This position supports the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Application Support Center (ASC) operations in Fargo, ND. The role is on-call and casual, with no guaranteed schedule or income. Responsibilities Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States. Ensure all entrants to the ASC are approved applicants and visitors; provide interior and exterior crowd control and assist staff in enforcing ASC rules and policies. Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the United States Government. Perform quality biometric processing, including capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within established processing times. Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure they have a valid appointment notice and proper identification. Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure a safe and organized entry into the facility. Visually inspect applicants and belongings prior to entry; during health crises, applicants may be asked about illness status and entry may be restricted as required. Conduct periodic facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor. Assist the Site Supervisor and/or government Immigration Service Officer in contacting local law enforcement or first responders when necessary. Manage and complete administrative tasks such as tracking processing times, reconciling biometrics, maintaining a visitor control log for non-applicants, and signing off on facility checks. Qualifications Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: U.S. citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to speak and write in English. Ability to stand for scheduled shift duration; ability to hold and grasp applicants' hands to obtain quality fingerprints. Ability to work in a high-paced environment with the public. Ability to type and use basic computer skills. Successful completion of the biometrics training and certification within sixty days. Desired Skills Ability to speak a foreign language. Understanding of health and welfare benefits and related deductions as described in the benefits structure. Employment details Location: West Fargo, ND Hiring rate: $20.65 per hour (SCA regulated) Typical compensation range referenced: $46,800.00 – $57,200.00 per year On-Call specifics: This is not a regular Full Time or Part Time position; On-Call availability is required Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 4:15 pm for substitute coverage as needed.
