About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Live Event Engineer to support in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring close collaboration with AV Program Managers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to deliver seamless live event experiences. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in AV systems, streaming platforms, and live event production, with the ability to work autonomously while also guiding and coordinating others.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage live events in collaboration with AV Program Managers.
• Facilitate and monitor key meetings and events, including live streams.
• Plan, guide, and advise teams on the best technical approach for events.
• Oversee stage crews, rentals, and vendor management.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot streaming platforms, live event systems, and meeting systems.
• Perform cable management, equipment setup, and troubleshooting.
• Execute post-production activities such as editing content for distribution, cataloging, and archiving.
• Provide technical leadership, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions for AV issues.
• Support scheduling and coordination of event operations team members.
• Ensure operational excellence and a high-quality experience across all events.

Requirements

• Must be onsite in Newark, NJ five days a week from day one .
• Proven experience with live event production and AV system management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across streaming platforms and AV equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
