Job Description

Mendota Insurance is hiring for an Arbitration Adjuster who is highly motivated and detailed oriented. This position will be a valued member of a subrogation team focused on the incoming and outgoing arbitration filings. This is a work from home position.

Essential Job Functions:

· Prepare arbitrations in regards to damage and liability disputes.

· Prepare and respond timely to incoming arbitrations.

· File outgoing arbitrations on behalf of Mendota in a timely manner.

· Negotiate settlements with other carriers and/or attorneys in order to resolve the claim.

· Maintain detailed claims diary in order to organize and keep track of arbitration filings (incoming and outgoing).

· Update claim file information to ensure an accurate record of recovery activity.

· Issue payments to other carriers when necessary.

· Follow up and track any payments to be issued to Mendota.

· Tracking and reporting of incoming and outgoing arbitrations results.

· Perform other duties as required by management.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Insurance industry experience adjusting auto insurance claims.

· Insurance arbitration - subrogation recovery experience is a plus.

· Arbitration filing experience within Arbitration Forum is a plus.

· A focus on non-standard personal lines auto is a plus.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational and analytical skills, required.

· Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements:

· High School Diploma required.

· College Degree preferred.
