Job Description
Pleasant View Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility is looking for full time Accounting Supervisor. Job duties include but are not limited to:
* Review A/P checks to invoices to ensure accuracy prior to mailing
* Assist with monitoring bank accounts as assigned
* Prepare Quarterly and Annual Sales Tax Returns
* Assist with budget processes.
* Assist with filing Unclaimed Property annually.
* Assist with training staff and ensure policies are followed throughout office.
* Assist with processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
* Provide back-up to all positions in the office.
* Supervise daily accounting and financial reporting functions and perform monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
* Review daily cash receipts and prepare deposits weekly.
* Assist with financial audits and Medicaid cost report audits.
* Assist with preparation of the annual Medicaid cost report.
* Ensure month-end billing processes are completed by required deadlines.
* Supervises accounting, billing, and administrative staff in the Business Office.
* Manages front desk operations and ensures effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image.
* Supervises and coordinates overall administrative activities for the Business Office.
* Supervises the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement and housekeeping of Business Office.
* Provides assistance to the Business Office Director as needed.
*Required Education and Qualifications:*
* Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in an office setting.
* Strong understanding of accounting processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent attention to detail.
