Strategies STRATEGY 1 - COMMUNITY BUILDING Communities are built on the ability of people to mobilize, create a vision of success, lay out an effective plan, and collectively take action. Neighborhood businesses, citizen associations, non-profit groups, storytellers, historians, and artists are all important parts of community strength. It is when they come together to dream, plan, and act that they create lasting change. We support community building by contributing the knowledge, skills,and discussion forums requested by residents. We offer training in community organizing, facilitation, and planning. We support the creativity of people working together to change their neighborhoods.
