24, 2014 – San Diego – The AMP Music Festival returns for its fourth year to San Diego in Celebration Hall at the Jacobs Center on Saturday, November 15!  Taking place from 6:00pm to 11:00pm, this all evening, indoor, multi-genre music festival will be rocking in San Diego with a unique flair all the performers are Asian and Pacific Islander (API) American!

This special music festival is a testament to the up and coming talents in the API community who are otherwise overlooked or under-represented in music and entertainment but have managed to build a fan following through self-producing and through events focused on their talents, such as the AMP Music Festival.

You can expect to see a dozen acts like rockers Misc. Ailments, winners of the San Diego Hard Rock Cafe Battle of the Bands contest; or Cambodian Hip Hop favorites CS and Tee Yung; or Chelsey Chavez, an up and coming singer/songwriter from San Diego; or electronic and hip hop violinist, Paul Dateh; or headliner Tribal Theory, a local reggae band with a tropical sound and a huge following; and many more!  Expect more fun this year with added elements like graffiti artists, spoken word artists, break dancers, a video game area presented by Gam3rCon with “old school” consoles, and finally, a room dedicated to a one-of-a-kind Anime experience!

In its fourth year, the AMP Music Festival will be produced by Silk Road Productions and has fiscal sponsor, Pacific Arts Movement, who produces the San Diego Asian Film Festival.  This project is funded in part through the “Cultural Celebrations & Performances Grant Program” awarded by the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, and other sponsors, including COX Communications, MYX TV, and Sobi TV.

Tickets are available now and everyone is welcomed to attend to learn about new musicians and talents, to open their horizons, and to make new friends. The AMP Music Festival was created by Silk Road Productions to provide a platform to showcase the musical and performance talents of the API community.
