Diamond Neighborhoods MOUNTAIN VIEW Mountain View, located in the central portion of southeastern San Diego, sits on 735 acres of land and is bounded on the north by Market Street, on the south by Logan Avenue, on the west by State Highway 15, and on the east by Interstate 805. To the 14,584 residents and neighboring communities, the neighborhood became known as "Mountain View" due to the unobstructed view of San Miguel Mountain to the east. Located on a plateau, the area is one of the flattest in the community. We are currently working with community residents and resident-led organizations to continually update this portion of our web site with updated photos and stories that will offer a view from the windows and lives of the people who share the rich history and culture of this community.  |
