Oak Park
The community of Oak Park, home to 13,847 residents, is bounded on the north by Streamview Avenue, on the south by Interstate 94, on the east by Federal Boulevard, and to the west by Euclid Avenue. In the early 1940's - in response to a growing need for military housing - the federal government began developing housing units throughout southeastern San Diego. Oak Park continues to serve the military population with a multi-family housing complex located near Chollas Lake Park, one of the community's most frequently visited recreational sites.
